    - Yard Work for the Elderly
    - Kasey and I will be going to family members or friends of family members who are elderly and assisting them by doing manual labor outside the house. This includes mowing lawns, gardening, or just straightening things up that are difficult for an elderly person to do.
    - This will be completed by early June. Probably June 4th.
    - Busy schedules make it difficult to find time to do community service, but it's definitely manageable.
    - We've organize the project so we know exactly what we're going to do, the date is set, the brief summary is completed, and we have discussed it with some of our relatives.
    - I think I should receive the total number of points or close to it because I gave a short but informative idea of what the project will be, and the only part left of the project to complete is the actual work itself. Everything is organized and ready to go, we just need the weather to warm up a little.

    - Yard Work for the Eldery.
    - Hillary and I will be going to family members, family friends, or other elderly people and assisting them by doing outdoor work for them.
    - We will do it June 4th
    - The biggest challenge so far to me, is that our schedules and the weather do not fit with the project.
    - I have talked to my grandparents to leave the yard be for a couple weeks. My grandfather mows his lawn all the time so I told him to hold off. We planned a date for when we are going. No changing anymore and we're going to do it rain or shine. Lastly, I have thought of little tasks we could do such as mowing, gardening, weeding and as a special treat, maybe bring some ice tea for them to enjoy. The benefits of this project is that they get their yards fixed for free and we get to get service hours.
    - I believe I should receive the total amount of points or close to it because I have shown that I have put a lot of thought and effort into this project and that I am willing to start it.

    - Alumni Flag Football Game
    - This fall, there will be a flag football game taking place at the high school with AHS alumni playing. Officers of the Class of 2012 will set up and have everything taken care of. All funds will go towards this class.
    - It is completely planned, but will not take place until the Wednesday of Homecoming Week of the 2010/2011 school year.
    - The biggest challenge is now, and will continue to be, getting the alumni involved in the game.
    - 3 accomplished tasks:
    1) set a date and okayed it with my advisors
    2) determined what the requirements are to participate (alumni, graduated from college, etc.)
    3) decided that all participants will need to sign a waver to ensure that the school is not liable for any injuries

    -French Club Officer
-The treasurer of the french club moved to a different school and I decided to take the position of the officer. So now I am the treasurer of the french club. Sometime soon, I am going to meet with Mrs. Dimmig and try and plan a fundraiser for the dinner we will be attending next month.
-End of May to early June.
-Being brave, and actually stepping up to face the challenge of being a club officer.
-I have already been an officer of French Club in middle school, so I have an idea of what is going on. I also talked to the club advisor and she was telling me how much she has planned for the club.

    Presentation to the Board
I will be standing in front of the board and talking about the ALC. The ALC is not a madated program so we have to make sure that we express the importance of the ALC
At the last board meeting in June
Using the right words to come across as compassionate but not to agressive
    • I have been working on what I will say
    • I also tutor in the ALC every Tuesday and Thursday a fifth grader
    • I also spend a lot of time in the ALC for Future Teachers and I also tutor anyone that needs help on Fridays and some times during adv.
I think that I am earning a hundred points with this comment.

    Future French Teacher (10)
Ariel and I went to the Primary School and showed a class of second grade students a brief slideshow on France. We also provided baguette, Nutella, and 7-up. Then, we Skyped Mr. Jean-Noel Shilling and allowed the students to ask him any questions they had about French culture. (10)
Our project was already completed on April 28th, 2010. (10)
The biggest challenge we had during the project was e-mailing all the different people we were working with and trying to get a definite plan set in stone. We were working with Mrs. Etzel, the teacher of the class, Mr. Shively, and Jean-Noel (10)

    At the end...
    • We showed a small slideshow of pictures and explained to the class what our project was mainly about
    • We are in the process of writing up a short explanation of our project for the District Newsletter
    • We are putting together a Google presentation for the final project grade

I think overall it went very smoothly. The Skyping was very interesting and effective for the students. They got to learn a little bit about the French culture while having fun at the same time. 100/100

    Middle School Tutor
    * Describe your project briefly (10)
Cindy and I have contacted the middle school guidance counselors and they were trying to find us students to tutor. We will be tutoring a couple students after school hours
*Expected Date of project completion (10) June 14th
    *Biggest Challenge so far (10)
I think that the biggest challenge so far was trying to find students and keeping in contact with the counselors, knowing where they are with finding students.
    * 3 or more recent tasks you have accomplished (30)
We have found a place where we will be tutoring. We have been told there are about 4 or 5 students that we might be able to work with depending on their schedules. And Mrs. Gavigan has recently told us that there is one student who is very interested and that she is going to talk to the parents and give us their number so we can set up everything else.
